Girls Unpacked was created from a very personal place.
I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, but after years abroad, I returned in 2023
during one of the hardest periods of my life. In that time, traveling, exploring, and saying yes
to new experiences became my way of reconnecting with myself, with life, and with the
island I call home.
As I started sharing these moments on social media – road trips, beaches, mountains,
waterfalls, spontaneous adventures – I began receiving messages from girls saying they
wished they could do the same, but didn’t feel safe traveling alone or didn’t have anyone
to go with.
That’s where Girls Unpacked was born. Girls Unpacked is about creating a safe,
supportive space where girls can explore, connect, and build genuine friendships, whether
you’re Dominican rediscovering your own country or traveling from abroad. You don’t need
to be experienced, fearless, or have everything figured out. You just need curiosity and
an open heart. Our trips are designed to feel like traveling with friends, a mix of adventure,
fun, rest, laughter, and meaningful moments. It’s not about perfection or luxury; it’s about presence, connection, and living life fully.

Girls Unpacked is not a tour company or travel agency. I design and host each experience,
but I don’t act as a guide. Whenever we surf, hike, explore, or join activities, they are always
led by local professionals and trusted partners. I travel alongside the group as part of the
experience, curating the flow, the places, and the connections, like a very organized friend
bringing people together.
